OMG KIllzone 2?!?!?!

I've been playing a lot of Killzone 2 lately, of course on the highest difficulty level, and I'm absolutely amazed at how "hard" the game is compared to other games in the genre. Don't get me wrong, I love the game being hard and difficult, I'm just surprised at it's difficulty level.

Most games, regardless of your difficulty level is, sort of level off and then ramp up at certain points of the game, making you adjust your gameplay. All of this is cool, and overall I'm very happy with the game, it's just interesting to see the game take this direction.

One of the things that does bother me about the game is the crappy friendly AI in the game. OMG, these guys that are on the ISA are totally fuckin' stupid!!! We go into a hostile situation and the friggin' idiots just run out into the open, are immediately flanked, and put down. So, instead of having a friendly AI companion with you during the stage, you're busy fending off Higs left and right and when there's a chance trying to run up to your buddy to heal him. Then, when you do heal them, they run off again and get shot to hell!!!

Aside from that bit of bonehead programming, I'd rather have no partner that trying to heal someone all through the game, the game (at least to me) doesn't have any other faults.

Back on how hard the game is. You seriously need to use cover throughout the game or you'll easily die about 15 times in each level. You stand up, from your crouched level, and immediately start taking shots, and if you stay up too long, BOOM there goes your head, and here comes the "Sev, Sev, you OK?!?!" as the screen fades to black.

It's kinda funny when you are standing up and taking shots, your buddy yells at you, "Sev, find some cover damnit!". Sort of a call back to Army of Two, all over funny to hear your buddy doing that when he's running out in the middle of an open area and getting blasted!

The game is fun, enjoyable, and difficult, that's a 3-way win!!!

If you're a fan of shooters, First Person Shooters to be exact, then this is a definite "Must Buy". The controls and movement are totally different than anything you've used before, so there's a little bit of a learning curve there, but once you nail that down, you should be good to go.

There's a tad bit of exploring to do, to get the isignias and briefcases, so that adds another aspect to the game. Get into this game so you can play it with the rest of us and you'll be able to play with the almighty PAYBACK clan, "where you can be a part of all of this..."
